Spring Cocktails in Bergen County

Seasonal changes outside for spring have ushered a number of changes inside at Sofia. That includes four new cocktails to our menu crafted by our excellent mixology team. More than just a tasty libation, each drink has a unique story to share:

RICKEY ROZAY

Ford’s gin is shaken with strawberry infused Campari, rosé wine, rosemary, lemon juice, tonic and topped with vermouth cream. Think of this as a fun gin & tonic with a spring rosé vibe — the rosemary rose syrup is contrasted with a strawberry infused Campari that is bittersweet.

MATCHA CHA CHA

Hendricks gin is shaken with matcha, lemon juice, agave nectar and homemade coriander fennel syrup, served over a large ice cub. Enjoy green tea with a little lemonade — it's our version of a green Arnold Palmer.

MAIN SQUEEZE

Aperol is shaken with Cointreau, lemon juice, egg white, dehydrated grapefruit, topped with ginger beer, served up. This drink is basically a traditional sour with spice from some ginger beer — it's an homage to the Aperol Incognito, the grand-prize winning entry in the Cointreau & Saveur 2011 Bar Star Mix-off Competition.

SEÑOR FLACO

Vida mezcal shaken with passion fruit, lime juice, housemade espresso syrup and topped with grapefruit shandy, served tall. Just because mezcal doesn’t get a lot of love, this smokey & savory agave spirit is paired with tart Passionfruit and a spring phenom in the grapefruit shandy — It also serves as a pick me up with the housemade espresso syrup crafted with vanilla bean and raw cacao nibs.

Best Outdoor Party Rooms in New Jersey

Hosting a party can be a lot of fun, but there's always ways to make it fun and easier. Outdoor parties are great, but when it comes to outdoors... there's plenty of things you should look for when choosing a venue.

  1. Weather - Because you never know what's gonna happen, you need a place that can allow for all weather scenarios. Sofia is great because the garden room offers a retractable roof - which can stay open when it's warm and dry, but closed if it's cold or there's precipitation.

  2. Size - How many people you plan on hosting is always one of the main decisions in choosing a party venue. While not the largest space, the garden room at Sofia can comfortable hold up to 60 people.

  3. Location & Access - Is there ample parking? Is the place easy to get to from highways and other transportation hubs? You never want to make it difficult for your guests to find the party and get settled once they get there - that's why Sofia offers valet parking and is conveniently located near the Palisades Parkway, Route 80, Route 4 and minutes from the George Washington Bridge.
